Jon and Marissa were married on Shelter Island this summer with the San Diego skyline as their backdrop. He proposed in Hawaii which only makes sense since they both love the ocean and being near the beach. The yellow, white and blue details are some of my favorite as they complimented the scenery so well. The sweetest detail of all?… Jon’s 90 year old Grandfather performed the ceremony at The Bali Hai. A fitting touch for a couple so surrounded with love. A grand time was had by all and I wish them both many years of happiness!

Jennifer and Alan got married at Rancho Las Lomas on a beautiful Spring day. Jennifer decided early on that she liked the colors of a peacock….and looking at the photos, you can see that became a reality…we had a peacock made out of flowers! This couple loves to travel and they also love food, wine and music. They made their own wine, as well as, a salt blend created from places they have traveled, along with some olive oils and vinegars as a “parting gift” for their guests. Their first dance was a Tango! So many details to this beautiful wedding, I am going to let the photos do the talking! Thank you Jennifer and Alan for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day!

Kristin and Patrick got married at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach. They live in Chicago so her Mom Nancy and I did a lot of the legwork for Kristin…knowing she had the final decision. It’s so nice when these lovely ladies trust their Moms…and Wedding Planner!
Such a fun couple, Kristin has a beautiful smile. Patrick toasted Kristin in one of the most touching speeches I have ever heard! They had a steel drum band for their cocktail hour and there was some Irish gigging happening on the dance floor. A great time had by all! Kristin & Patrick, thank you, it was a pleasure working with you and your families!
Do you remember growing up? At some point you all decided what you were going to be, and invested your time and your life into your career of choice. I think about this often especially when one of my friends ended up becoming leaders in our society and community, policemen, firemen, lawyers, doctors, and dentists! The one, dentists really stands out right about now, as I have a childhood friend who is a dentist in Boston. And well, Nevin and Nick are dentists as well. I have decided that a prerequisite for all dentists is PASSION. Those who I know who have taken this path have passion, not just for what they do at the office but for everything in life! This is totally apparent with these two! Their wedding day at The Ritz Carlton this past Memorial Day was filled with passion, love and total complete fun! Nevin looked totally amazing, perfect, and Nick looked handsome and dapper, and we just loved the bow ties! The passion was evident in the ceremony in both their parents, the tears and glances, smiles and even laughter. Their vows that they both wrote themselves made it clear that their love for each other is forever and that they were ultimately meant to be. The day was filled with moments that were truly amazing. The reception was no exception. Beginning with a dance off/grand entrance, followed by amazing dancers, and ending with even more dancing….the passion was there for the party! It’s totally official, no one can party like a Dentist! WOW! these people truly were on party mode and although the reception ended, I’m sure the after party went well into the early morning hours! I had a great time photographing this wedding and telling their story. Really great moments unfolded for me so natural and made my job so easy as the day progressed. Thank you to Kristine Andrews for once again being great at shooting and assisting! Jill Watson with the Pampered Bride, you sure do know how to create a fabulous wedding!
